You can lead your husband to what you want for Mother's Day, but you can't make him buy it.  Even if you give him a brochure and say "This is what I want for Mother's Day."  So what do you do?  You go out on Mother's Day and buy it yourself.

Believe it or not, women are prohibited from wearing pants in Paris unless she is on a bicycle or riding a horse.  Has been illegal since 1799.  A police chief in 1969 suggested that women in pants was just a fad.

I got my hair done yesterday.  My stylist told me that he was recently at a beauty show and that the beehive is back in style.  If you're old enough, you'll remember this hair style from the 60's--teased and laquered, high, not wide.

I went to Cindy Zucarrino's Carlisle Summer 2010 trunk show yesterday.  Here's the video of the beautiful clothes.  This season didn't have a whole lot in my colors or style, but I did find a gorgeous handbag to go with the coat I bought at her last show.  Unforntunately, I didn't take a video of it.  But when it arrives, I'll post a photo.

A recent market research report says that teens (13-18) and young women (18-24) have decreased their use of cosmetics.  But tweens (8-12) have increased their usage of certain products.<

We're seeing a lot of the no makeup look on the runway and on celebrities this Spring.  The May issure of Marie Claire has Jessica Simpson supposedly with no makeup.

I found an interesting article on what scientists say about cosmetics.  Physical attractiveness is a factor in mate selection and cosmetics help in this area of life.  But cosmetics also help in the job market.  Wearing makeup can increase your earnings and promotions.
