We're all looking for ways to economize these days.  I was shopping recently at Nordstrom and was sticking to the sales racks.  I found this nice cardigan in my color and size, marked down to $19.95 from $58.  Couldn't pass up this deal.

But the key word here is "nice."  Simple, not much to it.  Needs some accessories or something to spice it up.  I have a lot of scarves and necklaces to put with it, but I wantn't something more.  So, I thought buttons.  Let's take off the buttons and put on some bling.  So I checked out buttons at my local yarn shop (great place to look for buttons) and transformed my cardigan. 

I spent more on the buttons than I did on the cardigan.  My suggestion--keep the old buttons.  When you're ready to pass the garment onto Good Will, remove the bling, sew back on the old buttons, and use the bling buttons on something new.
