Orphans and Black Sheep Living in Your Closet.

When you open your closet door in the morning, how do you feel? Overwhelmed, frustrated, downright disgusted. Maybe orphans and black sheep are living in your closet.
What's a closet orphan? Well, it's the jacket that you only wear with the same pants, the handbag that you use with only one specific outfit, the suit that you wear with the same blouse. The things that are in your closet that look good on you and that you love but you don't wear very often. Most of the time they hang in your closet alone and lonely. They need some siblings. You either need to go out and purchase some additional items--more blouses that go with the suit--or you need to experiment and find new ways to combine what you already have--try that jacket with different pants and skirts, maybe even over a dress. Orphans can be saved. You just need to spend some time on them. Do some mix and matching. Make a shopping list. Make them fit in with accessories.
Now, the black sheep. They are the true problem. They don't fit well, aren't your style, are the wrong color. Maybe they were gifts, maybe they were unfortunate purchases. But they are never going to be part of your wardrobe family. You either never wear them, or you feel uncomfortable when you do. So what to do with these? Well, either show tough love and kick them out into the trash bin or go out and find them a good home--Good Will or other charities will definitely have someone who can give your black sheep a good home.
Now your closet can be a fun, loving home for you and all your clothes. You'll love your clothes, enjoy getting dressed in the morning, and know that you look your best.
