When I do a makeover, I give the client 3 different eye shadow colors to be worn at the same time.  How do I choose these colors and how do I apply them?  Let me tell you.

Meralgia parasthetica.  Big words.  What does it mean?  It's a fashion-related condition.  Tight clothing compresses a nerve near the groin.  And it means pain, pain, pain from the groin to the outer thigh down to the knee.  And, according to Dr. Orly Avitzur of Yale University, the pain can last long (maybe, months) after you stop wearing skinny jeans.

I don't follow or write about trends much.  Why?  Each woman's style is so individual that it's impossible to know if a current trend will work for her.  For example, a woman whose main style is Elegant will not be comfortable with the current military style.  It's best to decide if a current trend fits your style.  If not, then it's not something you should be purchasing.

A big trend for this Spring season is denim on demin--jeans, chambray shirt, and a denim jacket is one example.  Not surprising that some stores, like Gap, are all for it.  And other stores and designers are helping you get this look by taking non-denim fabrics, such as cashmere, silk, leather, and dyeing them to look like denim.

Some time ago, I wrote about the "Lipstick Index," the increase of lipstick sales during bad economic times.  Well, it seems that in the most current economic downturn, lipstick is no longer a sure bet.  We now have the "Nailpolish Index."

When you open your closet door in the morning, how do you feel?  Overwhelmed, frustrated, downright disgusted.  Maybe orphans and black sheep are living in your closet. 

So you had your colors done a while ago--10, 20, 30 years--and you wonder if you need to have them done again.  The answer is "yes."  Your hair color has probably changed.  You've aged.  Your overall coloring might have softened.  Your preferences have changed.  Look at these two fans, both done for the same woman.
