Does wearing makeup help a woman in the business world?  I'm reading the book The Definitive Book of Body Language by Allan and Barbara Pease.  Here's what they have to say.   An experiment was designed to test the effect of makeup and glasses on perceived personal skills and personal presentation.  The woman who wore no makeup and no glasses was rated the worse on personal skills and presentation.   The woman with makeup was given a good rating on appearance and presentaion.  The woman who got the best rating on personal skills

We're all looking for ways to economize these days.  I was shopping recently at Nordstrom and was sticking to the sales racks.  I found this nice cardigan in my color and size, marked down to $19.95 from $58.  Couldn't pass up this deal.

What I Learned about Color at Stitches

This past weekend there was a huge knitting convention called Stitches West at the Santa Clara Convention Center.  In past years, I've just gone and shopped, but this year I took two classes.   Both classes had to do with color and were taught by the same instructor--Laura Bryant of Prism Yarns.  I already know a lot about color, but I learned some new things and I relearned some concepts in a new way.  Here are a few of the things I picked up.
